Sound quality low


Hi,

Thanks a ton for helping me unlock the urpmi data base.

Please help me in improving the sound quality. After installing the madriva linux spring 2008 the sound quality has gone down and i have to wear headset to lisen to music. Also some wierd Sound thats coming when i remove the headset

What does it sound like? Are there crackles, or is it garbled?

You might want to check to see that "PCM" isn't turned all the way up on the audio settings, as that tends to cause some crackling.
