Sound problem in Ubuntu but not in Windows
Hi everyone,
First of all, I just want to say that english is not my native language. Thanks for your comprehension. I've search a lot trying to find someone that have experienced a problem similar as mine but I've found nothing so I've decided to ask here, maybe someone could help me! :) I've just bought a new computer, I have Windows and Ubuntu (gnome). I need windows because I have a Zune. When I listen music in windows, everything is fine, the level of sound is normal. But when i'm in Ubuntu, the sound is so low that I have to put my speakers at maximum level to ear just a little. So, the sound work but it's very low. I've verified volume control and it was okay. Because it's a new computer, i'm wondering if it's a sound card driver problem or if it's something I have to configure. I have 2 speakers with a subwoofer branded Altec Lansing. If you need more info from me, just ask ! Thanks in advance for your help. Abygael |
Welcome to LQ!
If you go to the command line (terminal) and type 'alsamixer' - it should show you the 'real' volume level. Check if it's adjusted properly. |
Problem solved !
Thanks for your quick response ! :D Abygael |
