i am running Suse 9.2 "for the third week now" and i am very very new to Linux.

My Sound card is identified and works fine. i have couple of Audio players installed coz i am an MP3 guy, i wanted to test each softwere.

now, i have:-

amaroK
RealPlayer 10
gxine
xine
XMMS
Juk
kaffeine

Whenever i play an MP3 file on all of them "not the same time", i can hear:
RealPlayer 10
Xine
gxine
kaffeine

HOWEVER, i can never hear:
amaroK
juk
XMMS

juk looks like a hell of a Jukbox and i really wanted it be working the most. Any ideas of what might be wrong?!! Please!

Try to open the programs there dind't work in a terminal and post the output here.

I got it!!

these softweres were trying to use the same engine which is not installed. its called aRts or something like that. i just had to search it in Yast
