Unhappy sound problem ...

Hi guys.
I still got this damn problem ... I could take back Kmix icon on my task bar but most of the times when I start my Mandrake Linux it is MUTED !!!! and when i remove the mute check i still get nothing from my speakers ... sometimes it happens not to be muted the next time I turn the mandrake on !!!!! I dunno what to do with this damn problem !!!! HELP ME PLZ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ((((((((((((((((((((((((

This is the blind leading the blind, but that really sounds like a bug. If you are running ALSA try running "alsamixer" and then "alsactl store." If that doesn't work upgrade. Often times, strange things like that get corrected in later releases.
