Question Sound Card and Modem Problem

I have a dual boot Win XP , Red Hat 8.0. I am trying to install sound card which is Avance Ac 97. I am trying to install my modem which is from Pctel.
Anyone with how do I go abt these things? I would relly appreciate any help on this regard.

go into your console and lsmod, that will bring up what modules you have running and installed. you probably have the sound one in, you just need to go to one of the many mixers, sound controllers, and turn the volume up.
