Sorting through all of the installable packages/Mounting UDF

Hey all,

I can't mount UDF, but I'm thinking there may be a package for it on the SuSE disk, but there are so many packages, I don't want to look through them all (I did look in the U's, nothing there), so two part question:

a) Is there a searchable library of packages for SuSE 10 (I didn't have much luck on google)

b) Is there a UDF package allowing me to mount UDF discs anywhere, either on the disk or for download?

Thanks!

SuSE has a very nice package managemnt tool. Run the Control Center (not the one in KDE, the one provided by SUSE; it's in the main menu - don't have it now to check), then Software Management. It has a search box which you can use to search for a package, there are different modes: searching in package names, descriptions etc.

I think what you want is Yast. It is in the Menu under System, I think. If this is Suse 10.1 Yast has some problems, so before you do anything drastic Google for SMART Package Manager.

Come back with questions.

I tried searching for UDF in YaST but didn't find anything (haven't tried Smart yet). Everything I read on google though tells me that UDF support is right in the kernal but I still can't read this Disc (readable under Windows), what else could be wrong?
