Sony Vaio E Mouse/Track pad won't work in Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS
Hello everyone,
I just bought a new sony vaio e series laptop and installed Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS. My track/mouse pad has no response when using it. I have read a few fourms and have come up short. There does not seem to be any solution in any one read. Does anyone have any suggestions to fix this problem? I would really appreciate it. |
Give us the output of running these commands:

Okay now run this:
lshw > blah-yada.txt Then this: less blah-yada.txt Do a search for mouse by hitting the / key and typing in the word mouse. You might need to capitalize the first letter in mouse. This will give you information on your mouse, if Linux recognizes it. If not you might need to resort to the use of an external USB mouse. |
I had no luck finding the mouse... I will keep using the wireless usb mouse for now. Also, it seems that my sound is not working either though in the editor it did come up. Gives me a project to work on. Thank you for help and quick response, SharpyWarpy.
