It has derailed a long time ago. I should know, I was the OP. All I wanted was some practical advice and not to start a flame on why Linux users should know how to read bits and bytes and why anybody who doesn't want, care or have time to learn all the ins and outs of Linux is not worthy of using Linux. It seems to me that some people take this stuff too seriously. Lighten up, dudes.
I don't think so at all. I invest very little time in my own problems. I try to answer some questions every now and then, but I don't have too much trouble myself.
If you would actually use this forum for something besides complaining, you would see what I'm talking about. You usually get a response within a couple of hours. Just post your actual problems instead of wasting your time with a threat like this.
So, let me see if I got this straight. I'm saying I'll keep posting questions on a forum called LinuxQuestions. And you consider that a threat... Isn't that a wee bit silly?

Good point: these things usually end up this way. Nevertheless I had a good time
I could have chosen a more positive way to say it, but overall my stance is reasonable: learn and you will be rewarded. Be good at something, and you will be lonely.
