something similar to geexbox / howto make it fully custom

ive been looking for quite some time now for a possible alternative to geexbox but to no avail it would seem as though geexbox is a complete one of a kind.... unless one of you (the people of these forums) have found something that is similar to geexbox but.... more flexible

or if you have ways to use the generator to make geexbox really customized so i could for example use the mouse to navigate to stuff or add a different kernel to allow for more hw support (sound dont work on my laptop)

any help is good help
