someone recompile a kernel for me? i have no linux experience

so i have no linux experience, i've been trying to solve this problem for a week now. finally got access to a linux computer from school but it's running an old version of gnome and i'm getting errors that i don't know why. help is so limited so its been really difficult for me. i am to the point of almost giving up and just want to ask someone for help. everyone who's done this before says it's a fairly easy process, so gurus please help me out

background: trying to recompile a kernel with usb > ethernet support+drivers so it will work on my beagleboard C4 device (www.beagleboard.org) running 0xdroid eclair 0x5 (code.google.com/p/0xdroid/)

instructions:
http://www.stockwerk.biz/blog/2010/0...d-beagleboard/
http://gitorious.org/0xdroid/pages/B...Scratch#kernel

thanks in advance!

Sorry, I don't have a technical answer for you but you aren't likely to get a good response with that topic "someone recompile a kernel for me? i have no linux experience" it sounds like you want someone to do it for you for free. The Linux community can be very helpful but you have to know how to ask questions the right way. Here is a link to a site every newbie should read before posting questions in a public forum or in IRC:

It may be helpful for others here to help you, if you could:
  • Execute the following command and post the output here:
    Code:
    cat /etc/issue
  • List here exactly whatever you have tried till now, what website links you have referred so far to help yourself.
  • Change the title of your thread to something more meaningful like : "Facing problems in recompiling kernel".
