Please, I can't use Linux at all if i don't have it

Tinkster 12-01-2003 07:26 PM

Which version?

Where did you download it from, what was the MD5 sum?

And stop nagging. Give people a fair chance to respond,
how old are you? 7? Have patience.

Cheers,
Tink

Sorry, I am so wanting to install Linux, I don't have any patience, I want version 9.2, disk 1, and possibly 2.
I downloaded it from http://www.linuxiso.org

Oh and I don't know what an Md5 Sum is, I am a newbie, I am not familiar with linux, becuase I never had a working DISK

the iso from linuxiso.org is fine. you either got an error downloading it or did something wrong burning the ISO.
check the md5 on your download, if it's right look at your burning process. Burning an ISO is different than a regular cd.

Look here for MD5 checksum info and a windows program to do it,

How do you "look to see if the file is burning right?
on easy cd creator 5.0

Netizen 12-02-2003 12:07 AM

Did you burn the iso as if you were buring mp3s or porn to a cd? Or did you choose "burn image" or something to that effect?

I never used Easy CD Creator, but you need to burn the iso as an image. If you don't know how in CD Creator, I suggest looking at the help file or searching google.

Why did you just post like 20 posts in this thread...

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...hreadid=121795

...asking if you should buy slackware, and then say you are going to buy it, and then ask in this thread if someone will give it to you?

You've made 63 posts in 2 days. The last 20 posts I've seen you post one sentence comments in the thread above.

One last thing....Since when does anyone send 600MB ISO images via email?

What are you on buddy.....?

SHUTUP! (drugs)
no just joking

edman007 12-02-2003 08:04 PM

you are probably burning the cd by making a data cd and putting the iso as a file on it right? that is the wrong way to it

here is how to do it in easy cd creator 5 (pdf)

If you are using XP, I would suggest downloading Drop2CD, it is really simple to burn ISos with it.
