I have recently switched to linux (mandrake 10).
When I try playing some vcds, its not workin in linux, whereas its fine with windows (2000).

Is there any known issues regarding this??

Some players like mplayer does not play .dat files. Maybe that is why you can't play thoise vcd's. You use XINE to play all vcd, dvd, etc. files.
