some red hat Linux kernel problem
 

Recently, I do some project on researching linux...below are some question
I cannot find the appropriate solu..Hope experts can deliver your help:)

1.What file(s) or partition does the OS use as the virtual memory space
2. What is the page replacement policy policy used by linux
3. What is the impact of using virtual memory on linux? (Performance and max number of possible application allowed)
4. Is there any limitation(s) of the memory management methods? (ie. max number of heap, efficiency on the usage of memory, is there substantial time required by the OS to reclaim unused memory)
5 What is the default size of the heap / memory block for the linux ?
6 How are memory block / heaps allocated to the running processes? (ie. first fit, best fit …)
