Sorted it myself Mmmmmmm

Now I've downloaded Firefox seems to be Bit Torrent form.
I created new folder on desktop called Firefox and saved download there,. now I need to open the file and run it to install. But when I go to open with the drop down, it does not have a file which will allow it to run. How do I open and run the file Please?
I am not to good with the command line side of things but if there is a programme I can use to open it that would be great. Sorry to put this in this thread but I am unable to find the new thread button on the forum page.

Bograt - new post icon is in upper right corner. If you do a google search for "firefox linux install" you should be able to find the install instructions on Mozilla's page. I just did it myself a few days ago.

Thanks couldn't read the full page as it wasn't loaded correctly.

have also downloaded antivirus tar file and trying to run that. from previous experience after extracting it I need to follow install instructions which uses comands in root but with previous experience I am struggling with the commands. Clues please.

Quick update.

I have downloaded Firefox in RPM which I can install directly with Yast ( COOL )

I still need advice on installing tar & Biz2 files I think there called etc?

Any info is appreciated.

I also bought a book ( Linux in easy steps ) what are peoples thoughts on this book is it any good?
