I am sold on the idea of LINUX...
I really like it, only problem, as has probably been seen on here and every other LINUX forum - my dodgy ALCATEL SPEEDTOUCH ADSL USB MODEM is not the easiest piece of kit to setup on REDHAT....i have looked at numerous how to's and don't like the look of setting it up...However someone on another forum suggested buying a Single Port Ethernet Router...one particular model at 77 pounds..it looks the buisness i have to say!! But i have a few questions:
A) is this really the easiest way to get ADSL on LINUX?..by using this method the only thing i need to do is find a driver for the ethernet card...am i right?
B) does this method have any other advantages over the normal method i.e. external USB modems? because if it doesn't it is quite a big layout...
C) Am i using a sledgehammer to crack a wallnut?
Cheers Lads, lasses and all those inbetween..
