I'm using Xubuntu 16.04LTS. I got a software update window and clicked on it. I started installing it. I watched what it was installing. Stuff like 'mesa' and a lot of 'lib...' stuff. Then it suddenly stopped about three quarters through and gave me this window (attached 28). So I checked the settings and they looked fine. The only thing I thouoght could be of interest is in Screenshot 29. Then when I was typing this I got a pop-up window (attachment 30). So I tried to install that and I got another failure window (31).
This is the first time anything like this has happened. And btw my Internet connection is fine.
Anybody know what's going on or if there's anything I need to do?
It could be that the apt cache needs updated. Sometimes it will fail to download a package that doesn't exist anymore because there is now a newer version.
Easiest way is probably to do sudo apt-get update from terminal.
How are you connected to the internet? If by wireless, did your connection drop momentarily?
Regards...
Hi ardvark. Thanks. No, computer is wired and I had no connectivity issues. And I'm still getting the software updates and still getting the failure windows.

what is this? mega.nz as a repo source???? tried UNchecking that?
and what is on the main tab, "Ubuntu Software"?
Thanks ondoho. mega.nz is the mega cloud storage that lets me sync between computers. I think boog's thing (the apt-get update) took care of the problem--it's updating fine now. Attaching the main update tab.
