Software repository for Debian

Hello,
Ubuntu has a GUI software repository where you can search for software and it will install it for you instead of having to manually install programs with apt-get. Does Debian 8 have something like that I can install? I have lkde desktop installed. Thanks

Yes, the "Synaptic Package Manager."

It should be under "System" on the KDE menu.

Sorry, I meant I installed lxde. So will I be able to install Wine using this software?

I selected to install Wine and Wine64 but they don't show up on my system to run windows apps

I fear I can't answer that question. I haven't messed with wine for years. Perhaps someone who uses wine will enlighten both of us.

I always ran wine from the command line. Your DE might have blacklisted the desktop icons.
