Software Installation Problem (Fedora 8)
I just installed Fedora 8 on my computer. Now the problem is that i can't install any software at all. Every thing that i try to install is giving some error:

warning: libstdc++-4.1.2-33.i386.rpm: Header V3 DSA signature: NOKEY,
key ID 4f2a6fd2
error: can't create transaction lock on /var/lib/rpm/__db.000

warning: xine-lib- Header V3 DSA signature:
NOKEY, key ID 4f2a6fd2
error: Failed dependencies: is needed by xine-lib- is needed by xine-lib-

And one software that i could install is not starting now:

/usr/local/RealPlayer/realplay.bin: error while loading shared
libraries: cannot open shared object file: No such file
or directory

For this real player error, i tried installing libstdc++-4.1.2-33.i386.rpm but it says that it is already installed!

I have not yet configured my router in Fedora so i dont have net access on it.

Kindly Help...

Before you use a rpm from a particular repo you have to import their key. This will be much easier to do after you have the router up.

ok i'll get my router setup soon. And one more question, does yum require the internet to install packages?

Have a look at "man yum". What you are looking for is "yum localinstall". But what you have to realize is that a lot of rpms will have 10+ dependencies that is the nice thing about yum (once you have the internet up), it will automatically grab those dependencies for you.
