so bootup sound
 

u all must be tired of me posting.

i am running mempis 3.3 and i am having a problem with the audio while booting, it was working before but for no reason u don't hear the bootup sound anymore, tried my best to fix it on my own but failed. could someone help me on this.

Exactly what "boot up sound" are you referring to?

What has changed on your system right before this problem started? Upgrades, new software, config changes?

Does sound work generally, except for this boot up sound?

Please provide more specific info about your system.

i am running a celeron 1.7ghz with 512mb memory and a cmedia sound card. (dont remember the exact type but it is a 3d sound card)
After installing mepis i had to use apt-get and intall discover1 to get audio which work great exept when running kopet the sound server somtimes crashes.
it's after booting the system the next day the audio u get at the splash screen is missing but other than that, audio works fine.
