smc wireless card not recognized

hey y'all

i've been trying to get my smc2632W pcmcia wireless card to work but i've been foiled. numerous sites claim that this card is supported by the orinoco drivers and i have the orinoco and hermes modules when i lsmod but the card isn't recognized. any suggestions?do i have to use wlan-ng? and if so how do i go about that? thanks....

I would start here

I went through many hours trying to get my USB card working, then went to a PCI card and it came right up, I think mine is belkin

per the following list of cards your card has 3 versions. the first one is a prism2/2.5/3, Ver 2 and 3 are atmel. So you will want to identify what version of card you have. Then look for the drivers you need for your chipset.
