SMB Failed


hi, I just want to know why when I shutdown my box my SMB is always giving me failed. even when I tried to restart samba the SMB and NMB always failed. any idea where do I fix this problem.

you need to find WHY it's failing. run

/etc/init.d/smb restart

and assuming it fails there run

dmesg | tail

and that should give you some info as to what's gone wrong.

also try running testparm to see if your samba config is correct
