Slow execution of program through openVPN connection

I have a samba-share where I have placed an win32-executable.

When connected through openVPN and when executing the program from the share, the program is rather slow...

How can one speed up the execution through an openVPN-connection ??

LZO compression is enabled for the moment, could it be that ??

Thanks.

Well, you could not use the OpenVPN connection. Such arrangements tend to be slow for obvious reasons, including compression and encryption (ironically, compression/decompression sometimes takes more time than it saves on the network).

I access the share from my home-network through a openVPN on a server on the workplace.

Could it be the upload on my internet-connection ?? Or really just compression... then I just turn it off..
