hi
since no-one has replied...try the following firstly you should know exactly what keyboard you have....change the following pathway to suit.... /usr/share/keymaps/i386/qwerty I have a map which is hebrew. 2) Now there are some options on how to do it a) easy attempt one http://www.go2linux.org/change-langu...keyboard-linux try either command...notice they had us...but yours will be non-abbreviated...hebrew b) assuming that fails....I no longer have an xorg.conf....but you could edit and reboot into a new xorg. pls make a backup somewhere and know how to use your slitaz as a rescue so you will change the bit in link to new layout http://absolutelinux.org/forum/index.php?topic=251.0 |
thnx ill try that :)

.. Some considerations, I have collected, since the day
your question appeared : Set language ..changing-default-language-from-command-line http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...d-line-438947/ SliTaz Locales are in /use/share/X11/locale/ ? I get this with the ' ls ' command : ls /use/share/X11/ .. (there is nothing relevant in /usr/share/) XErrorDB XKeysymDB app-defaults/ locale/ rgb.txt More than one problem if you want to change something : There are no extra language packages for SliTaz. The whole OS is a compressed file .. even after install. It is uncompressed every time, you do a boot up. But hopefully, all changes ( and package install's ) are saved when shutting down. ..... |
