SLED 11 installed not working
 

i have installed suse linux enterprise desktop 11 in my pc. installed successfully. after rebooting, i typed the user id and pwd. after that green screen went to white and nothing happens. i again went for repair mode and the samething happens. what to do now

without any of the needed info ,there is not much any one can do

did you install sp1 or sp 2 or sp3 ?

also SELD is not free !
you have to buy the required support contract from Novell
-- there is no real way around that

or

install the FREE
OpenSUSE 13.1


SELD is targeted for use in the Office
with the SERVER version " SELS "


what is the hardware you installed it on ?
if a "netbook" or other very low end and very NEW hardware it might never run on it

if a laptop dose it use the "optimus" CPU/GPU ?
if a desktop dose it have a ati or nvidia full 3d card
or is it using a laptop" chip" on a desktop ?

the hardware specs ARE needed

did you check the novell compatibility list ?
did you ask the novell sales rep if the hardware was compatible
