I just got a new USB drive,
this one, and I want to put slax linux on it. I would put it on a cdrom, but I always scratch cdroms up, and thus they are useless.
That would probaly be simple enough if I only had slax on the usb. I want to put data on it to, and separate them into separate folders. So the file system layout would be like:
Code:
usb
/ \
slax/ data/

slax backups
source and such
I would probaly set up the usb drive into two partions, partion a=256megs, and partion b=256megs, but how would I set it so partion a's files are in the directory slax, and partion b's files are in the directory data?
And what about setting up the usb drive so that slax boots directly at boot up? This probaly wouldn't be a problem if I didn't set the slax source in the the slax folder, because it needs to go into the slax folder and then execute all the files. Now the file system layout would be like:
Code:
usb
/ \
Partion A Partion B

slax/ data/

slax backups
source and such
Thanks for reading.
edit: In the above table, I didn't mean that partion a and b have a sepearte folder.
