SLAX Live CD Installation
If this has already been answered, I apologize.
Okay I downloaded SLAX ISO file. And what?
I am curious about linux, and If these Live CDs are easy enough, I will have my little brother use Linux permanatley. (he finds Windows difficult)
A detailed guide on setup would be very appreciated.

Wow - 4 hours and no one has answered. . . .

Live CD's are supposed to just work when you boot off the CD. Burn the ISO to a CD (google for some software that will do it from windows if you don't have any, I think I use FireBurner), make sure your PC is set to boot from CD (usually by a setting in BIOS), pop the CD in the drive and reboot.

To set your PC to boot from CD, you would typically have to reboot and early in the boot process hit ESC, F1 or F2 or some other key to get to the BIOS screen. A little hunting around will find an option like "Boot Order." Set that so that it is CD -> HD -> Floppy or something similar. Every BIOS is a little different, so you will probably have to search for specifics if you can't figure it out directly.

Good luck,

Okay, do I burn the actualy ISO file, or extract it w/ winRar then burn its contents to he disc?
And I tryed both Ubuntu and Slax Live Cd's, and I my Boot Sequence is CDROM. IEO, floppy, But it still boots windows. Do I need to change the master and slave drives?

No, you just burned a CD with the .iso file on it, not a bootable CD-Rom. Look around in your burn program's help for how to burn CD images; that'll put you on the right track.

Okay, I hope this works, by the way, is their somekind of emulator I can test this out in?

Alright, it works, but when I download updates from the syma-watever, it gets really slow, and were is it saving those things anyway? And ubuntu's firefox wont work. It cant connect to any websites. But SLAX works, I just dont like it as much.
