Slackware9.1 loading grub instead of lilo after install

OK. So I'm on a hardrive that has Windows2K on the first partition(hda1), then I've got my linux partition on hda3, the swap is hda4. I've just downloaded the ISO's for slackware 9.1, had no trouble installing. During the setup process I supposedly configured LILO, but after my reboot grub loads instead. from there I can't get anything to happen. That is I can't get anything to happen without some sort of boot disk, windows loads just fine with its boot disk, and i can get Slackware up and running with either the cd or the boot disk that was created during setup.. My question is this.. how can I get the system to boot up an OS without using bootdisks? Thanks for any help.

Edit your grub config file in order to boot Slack.

Ok, so how would i go about doing that? and actually, I'd rather have lilo... mostly because i've never used grub, but this system isn't just mine, it's a shared computer..so i kinda need it to be able to boot windows without any hassles... if anyone could help, and actually help, not just a single sentence, that's be wonderful... Thanks, Sal

lilo can boot windows easily. It is just not added by the default slackware setup. You can also set the default to be windows or linux or any other.

Just add it to your lilo.conf
to set the default OS to boot, just add default=labelname

#Windows entry
other=/dev/hda1
label=WindowsXP
table=/dev/hda

make sure to update lilo
as root
/sbin/lilo

Thanks, I know lilo's capable... and i know how to set up the lilo.conf file...but I've done all of that and grub is still rearing its ugly head every time the computer starts up without a boot disk in it... so I'm still stuck.. thanks for trying though
