Slackware wlan problem
 
hi, im franxez i new to the forum and linux.
i have a question. i installed slackware 12.2 on my laptop dell inspiron 1721, i cantf conf the wlan it wont tourn on, i use the comm ifconfig wlan0:0 up but its says this flag can be used or something like that. if i use netconfig it only configures the ether0, need to conf the wlan. so if some one can help me rsolve the problem thx......^^

netconfig is only used to set up wired connections on eth0.

Instead you should edit the file /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1.conf and make sure files /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1 and /etc/rc.d/rc.wireless are both executable.
