slackware system halted when poweroff

hey guys,

i have installed slackware on my pc n when switching off it halts saying

remounting root filesystem read-only.
/dev/sda1 on / type ext4 (ro)
[ 200.825110] system halted

Wild guess:
You shut it down with "halt".
At least in OpenSuse 12.# "halt" results in exactly that, the command to use now is "poweroff".

no i shutdown with poweroff n one thing more when i have installed the system lilo was giving an error saying

fatal: filesystem would be destroyed by lilo boot sector.

which i resolved by lilo -F n i dont know weather this has to do anything with this but just in case.
but system runs fine.
