Slackware Operating System installation Question
Hi All,
I've just downloaded the complete Slackware 10.1 ISO four cd set along with the MD5 checksums for each cd. I also copied and saved the PGP Signature files for each one. I don't know what the PGP Sig files are and I wanted to find out before I burn the disks. My question is: What are these files, what are they used for, and do they go on the system disks as well? Thanks in Advance conductor |

the ISOs you downloaded are the original ones. And no, you only burn the ISO to CD, not the checksum files. If you're not sure how to handle ISOs ... http://www.linuxiso.org/viewdoc.php/howtoburn.html Cheers, Tink |
Thanks Tink,
I'm going to have a lot more questions regarding the installation of this operating system so I'll be back:newbie: |
Anytime :}
And if yhe question is rather about Slack than a Linux-generic kind of thing feel free to take the question to the Slackware Forum , it's a very lively little group ;} Cheers, Tink |
I didn't realize Slackware had a forum, I think I'll pop over there right now and start the question bombbardment:) Thanks again Tink.
