Slackware - Need Kopete or pidgin with sametime

Hi guys!

Hope your having a great weekend and are not losing hair like me, trying to figure this out.

I've gone for a "stupid move" (which the bunch at work say) from Linux Mint to Slackware. We using sametime for IM/chat and i'm having troubles already!

Now i have 13.37/64Bit installed and have downloaded the meantime plugin which i can see installed via the pkgtools.

Can't seem to get the protocol to come up in the accounts list under Kopete. Can someone please guide me on what i need to do as i can't seem to figure it out.

I have even tried to download pidgin but that seems to lack the sametime(meantime) protocol aswel.

Would appreciate anyone's help on this as it will bug me for ages not knowing why it's not working

For pidgin, you'll first have to install meanwhile (a slackbuild for it can be found here.)

After installing meanwhile, go here and download all of those files into one directory. Open pidgin.SlackBuild in your preferred text editor, and scroll down til you see a line that says
Code:
--disable-meanwhile \
Change the disable to enable, save it, and compile the slackbuild.

Then just upgradepkg --reinstall on the package you just compiled, and you'll have pidgin with sametime capability.

The same basic procedure should work for kopete, but I don't use kopete so I can't say for sure.
