slackware installation, wiping clean my windows pc
Okay, I have a bootable flashdrive for the complete slackware distribution, and I want to install it on my dell dimension 2400, which has Windows XP and some useless files. I don't want to run Windows anymore on that PC, just Linux & Linux-based software. How do I get rid of what's on there now, including Windows, and at what stage? Thank you.

Easy - after the "login" prompt in the slackware install, when you
run fdisk (or cfdisk, whichever you prefer). Delete existing partitions, create new ones, start install; windows gone, slackware on its way to being the sole OS on the machine. Cheers, Tink |
Thank you Tinkster. That answers my question directly.
