Slackware Gnome keyboard settings
I beg your pardon but I am a complete beginner.
I just installed Slackware 9.1 with the GNOME desktop, and I have a little problem: when I am in text mode, the keyboard map is correct (my map is qwerty/it, so I have all the characters like עאטלש), but when I start the desktop environment and try to type something (in a shell or in AbiWord or in any other application) it is not correct any more. How can I setup the correct keyboard for the desktop? Thank you |
Check file /etc/X11/XF86Config
@Core keyboard's InputDevice section you must have a line like this Option "XkbLayout" "it" If you have something different change as above (you might have "us" or something else.) Of course "it" stands for italian map Ciao Sono anch'io di milano |
