Slackware disk partitioning
my little switch from red hat 9 to slackware is not going as well as i'd hoped. right now i'm stumped as to how to format my boot partition during slackware 9.1 setup. i've partitioned my 10.2 gig hard drive (designated for linux use) like this:
device boot start end blocks id system
/dev/hdg1 * 1 203 102280+ 83 linux
/dev/hdg2 204 15794 7857864 83 linux
/dev/hdg3 15795 19857 2047752 82 linux swap
from what i've read, installation should make me format my /boot partition, but so far, it only asks to enable the linux swap and select a target for the / partition. shouldn't it also format /dev/hdg1 (boot partition) during installation? i'm lost.
