Slackware - Cannot Connect to the Internet

Hi there,

You guys have probably heard this question dozens of times, but I need help connecting to the internet. I have run netconfig and entered my IP, subnet mask and default gateway, but I still have returned with no luck. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You!

Strangly enough after I pinged and nslookuped google.com it appeared to access the net. I don't know what happened, but I suppose something corrected the problem. I'll reset my system and check it again to make sure it's not a fluke

Allright then, no fluke. It's actully running the internet.

lol, you probably can tell I'm new to this stuff. I've played around with live distro's (Knoppix and such) which automatically set these things, but I wanted to have a running distro on my system. My friends said Slackware is a good choice so I tried it out.

Thanks a lot bud, I appreaciate it dearly.
