Slackware 8.0 Bootdisk

I have slackware 8.0 installed on a partition on my first HD. My problem is that Lilo did not install and i am unable to boot into slack.

The boot disk i made during the install, does not work, why i do not know.

Lilo is not that necessary for me as long as i can boot into slack with a boot disk.

I understand that i can download a boot image from the slackware.com but i get confused as to what exactly i should download. There seems to be many files for the boot disk and would be grateful for some advice on this one. Also, how do i get the images download onto floppy, using rawrite or something.

Hope this is feasible, and thanks in advance.......

What error do you get when trying to use your bootdisk? Yes, you can use a very generic boot image if you download one if you want. You'll probably need to know what partition root is on to specify at boot though. it'll be something like:

root=/dev/hda5 rw,ro

mounting it 'r'ead 'o'nly or 'r'ead 'w'rite is up to you. rw is better for making changes without hassle.
