Slackware 14.1 - 64 does not recognize empty DVD.

When I insert a blank DVD, the KDE asks if I want to open with k3b, so far so good, but the directory of the DVD, does not appear in dolphin and k3b asks me to insert a recordable DVD and it does not find the DVD inserted .

In optical drive found.
K3b did not find any optical device in your system.

CDs and DVDs recorded, are recognized normally!
Can anyone help me?

As the empty optical disk does not have any files on it, it will not open in a file manager or from the command line. There's nothing to open.

When K3B did not recognize the presence of a writable disk, did you try another disk? It sometimes happens that a one or two of the blanks in a pack is bad, especially if you do what I do, which is buy the cheapest--er, best value. Did you try some other blanks?

I could, but I do not know why, I just had CDs here and then tested all k3b recognized everyone, so I decided to test the DVD again and ran 8 \
Do not know if it was a bug or my dvd burner is getting old, but what matters is that it worked!
