Slackware 13.37--Accidentally issued removepkg to man-1.6g-x86_64-1

System: Slackware 13.37 64 Bit
Cockpit Error: Command line error to view manual for removepkg.
Typed "removepkg man" which actually removed man-1.6g-x86_64-1 to root > var > log > removed_packages (happened very fast).
Required Assistance: Do not see a recovery procedure. Have used SlackBuilds and even modified them, but lack scripting experience to create one from the template. Also man-1.6g-x86_64-1 has no suffix (.bin, tar.gz, etc.) that a SlackBuild requires. What must I do to restore this package?
Thank you in advance for all of your help . . . .

Open the file /etc/slackpkg/mirrors (as root) and uncomment a mirror in the 13.37 section near you. Then launch
Code:

slackpkg update
slackpkg install man

Of course you can also just pop in your Slackware DVD and use installpkg to install the man package.

TobiSGD thank you very much.

Your response was quick and precise. I had no trouble fixing the problem. When you look at my query and then your response, you can see how far off the mark I was. Again, thank you!
