Slackware 10 - Boots off the second cd but not first
Hello All,
In my eyes this is strange so I figure its about time that I ask for assistance.
I downloaded and burned slackware 10 from the isos to cd.
When I try to boot off the first cd it doesnt boot but when I try to boot from the second (rescue disc) disc it boots fine and goes to a command prompt.
Is this normal or can someone give me some insight.
Might want to just re burn the iso as an image. Are you sure you burnt the .iso disk as a image or did you just burn the iso. This could possibly why the first disk isn't booting. I use nero 6, you can get a free trial from there web-site. also http://linuxiso.org is a good place to get iso's for all distro's

NB: Always check the md5sum before burning the image so you don't make a coaster. :}
If you're not familiar with iso images, and/or md5sums, read the LinuxISO.org FAQ

I ain't a newb. The only thing I am a newb at is being on this forum. I check the md5sum's. I did on my redhat 9 disks and they were fine. I just suggested that he might have not've burnt the file as an image.
