Slackware 10.2 setup command doesn't detect partions

I used fdisk to create my partions, but setup doesn't detect them. My system specs.

Computer = HP pavilion dv5000
Harddrive = 120 gig
Ram = 2 gig

Alright, I try to make a swap partion.
First.

Then

I see no partions

It asks external or primary partion

it says, "First cylinder (1-81, default 1):"

Then says, "Last cylinder +size or +sizeM or +sizeK (1-81, default 81):"

then says out of range, but wasn't I supposed to make the swap twice as much as ram?

Displays a message about not being able to find partions.

I have been trying for about 30 minutes, the same thing over and over.

False, This was true in the old days but usually you don't need that much swap. If your planning to use suspend2 on the laptop then you need just more swap than you have memory but in anycase 512Mb is sufficient to all modern computers... 256Mb is fine too. My laptop almost never uses the swap so the 2Gb swap is just a waste of space

On your problem... Have you tried other kernels? sata.i might be worth a try as is the test26.s kernels. You can choose these while booting.

I didn't have any problems with my Acer Travelmate 4202Wlmi with Slack.
