Slack SBLive help

k i hate to make a mess but i felt like this is the right way to go.

i have 2 sound cards:
Creative SBLive 5.1
SIS onboard (asus) 128 SB

im running Slackware 9.0 with Kernel 2.4.20
i know that i suppose to use emu10k1 but i think its already there...

here is my '/proc/modules':
cat /proc/modules
soundcore 3332 0 (autoclean)
ppp_synctty 6016 0 (unused)
ppp_async 7520 1
ppp_generic 15452 3 [ppp_synctty ppp_async]
slhc 5040 0 [ppp_generic]
ntfs 51040 1 (autoclean)
keybdev 1952 0 (unused)
mousedev 4212 1
hid 18596 0 (unused)
usbmouse 2008 0 (unused)
input 3200 0 [keybdev mousedev hid usbmouse]
usb-ohci 18856 0 (unused)
usbcore 58144 1 [hid usbmouse usb-ohci]
sis900 13484 0 (unused)
emu10k1-gp 1352 0 (unused)
gameport 1452 0 [emu10k1-gp]
pcmcia_core 38112 0
ide-scsi 8048 0
eepro100 19316 1
mii 2240 0 [eepro100]
if i try to access '/dev/dsp' then i get an error saying that there is no such device. but i however have dsp and dsp1 in '/dev'.

what should i do?? how can i check if at least one of my soundcards was detected during the Slack installation??

many thnx for ur time.

im almost positive that those are my SoundBlasters:
sis900 13484 0 (unused)
emu10k1-gp 1352 0 (unused)
gameport 1452 0 [emu10k1-gp]
why does it say "unused"?? what does "unused" mean (means that atleast my SBs are detected?)??

thnx for ur time.
