There is a part in that which (i think will add it to the command line. but that file is bloated.

maybe get a redhat user to post their ~/.bashrc file and put it in your home directory.

if it helps, here is a command to return the ip address on eth0

/sbin/ifconfig eth0 | awk '/inet/ { print $2 } ' | sed -e s/addr://
