Angry Slack 9.0 and xp

I've xp and slack on my computer. As I have no way of backing up my system, can someone tell me of a surefire way to boot without using a boot floppy.

I'm scared I might lose my xp stuff

Boot into Slackware, install grub, create a grub boot disk, boot with that grub boot disk, install grub into the MBR.

It is highly recommended to have a grub bootdisk since it can boot many OS. Try search for grub in this forum and you may find many clues.

is your xp partition ntfs?
if it isnt you should have no problem with the default lilo install.....if it is manually set up lilo to only have slack and then after that add the window partition from the slack install
