slack 10 vs fedor core 2
i have 2 machines, and have updated to slack 10 on one of them, but i have heard many good things about fedora... any suggestions? advantages/disadvantages?

What exactly are these two machines doing? (Not that it matters.) I guess it's understood to be a personal preference as to what exactly you want to use. You'd just be better off trying one, then deducting what you like best about each of them. Good luck, and have fun. =)
Oh yeah, by the way... I'm sure you could obtain official differences from the actual sites of these two distributions. They'd probably provide more information as to the pros and cons of their distribution. |

If you've got 2 machines, why not just install FC2 on the other machine? That way you can do a side by side comparison. After all, the only way for you to find out whether one distro is better than the other is to try both. -- J.W.

well, i had tried red hat, and didnt like it very much. since then i have tried a few others, but have stuck with slack... i guess slack works for me, why change... i dont know , just curiosity

fedora has a reputation for being dead slow out of the box although i've never tried it. Slackware has the opposite rep and it is indeed fast.
