Skype installation

Hi !

I downloaded Skype for Linux Mandrake. When clicking on the rpm I get this message:

http://home.swipnet.se/thor/pngs/gme...stallation.png

What is libstdc++.so.6 ?

How do I go on?

fire up urpmi/rpmdrake and look for g++-libs or something similar ( libstdc++ comes with g++ but due to the way mandrake splits packages it will probably be in some lib package somewhere).

I dont know exactly what it is ... but its a fail dependancy ... so you just need to install it to be able to install/run Skype.
To install it, just go to http://www.rpmfind.net and look for it.

install libstdc++, it's on your disks, or find it here:

Thanks to all of you !

I followed Calestar's advice and downloaded libstdc++6-3.4.1-4mdk.i586.rpm . When I installed it Mandrake said it was something wrong with the file, but it was installed anyway. Then I installed Skype.

Now Skype is working. I haven't tested everything in the program yet, but so far it seems to work fine.

Thanks!
