siocaddrt error after Suse 9.1 upgrade

I upgraded my suse 9.0 to 9.1... everything went fine, and all ethernet/networking is running tits.

However on boot up I get the following message

SIOCADDRT - device not found failed

again, everything seems to be running fine, I just dont like the idea of a persistent error messge on a production server.

I google the text, and get mostly message board posts for network devices that cannot connect at all...

can anyone shed some light on this?

thanks

Have a look at:

http://archive.lug.boulder.co.us/bym.../msg00972.html

Suse may have even gone from 2.4 to 2.6 kernel between 9.0 and 9.1
