Welcome to LQ.

http://lca.epfl.ch/projects/trans
>> http://wiki.epfl.ch/trans/documents/transv1.2.zip
Or http://wiki.epfl.ch/trans/documents/translite.zip

Suggest : /home/<name>/ns2/ ( or other folder in /home/<name>/ ) :
unzip transv1.2.zip && cd TraNSv1.2/bin/ && java -jar TraNSv1.2.jar
unzip translite.zip && cd TraNSLite/bin/ && java -jar TraNSLite.jar

JAVA : jdk-1.6.0_26-fcs.<arch>.rpm
32bit http://ftp.scientificlinux.org/linux...6-fcs.i586.rpm
64bit http://ftp.scientificlinux.org/linux...fcs.x86_64.rpm
Or : # yum install java-1.6.0-openjdk

Setting up the jdk-1.6.0_26 :
# /usr/sbin/alternatives --install /usr/bin/java java /usr/java/jdk1.6.0_26/bin/java 2
Selecting a 'java -version' :
# /usr/sbin/alternatives --config java

TraNS works with both the above "java -version" in Fedora 13.

.

TraNs installation on ubuntu 13.10 32 bits

Hello,
I want to install TraNS to generate realistic traffic for a VANET scenario.
I have already installed MOVE and SUMO and used it with ns2.35 and i wonder how to use TraNS with MOVE and SUMO.
I am using sumo 0.12.3.
Any suggestion is welcome.

← ref. #3.

TraNS http://lca.epfl.ch/projects/trans/

Prerequisites for TraNS : A functional java, An ns2 compiled with TraCI.
And sumo-0.12.3, which you already have.

Running TraNS : $ java -jar TraNSv1.2.jar
... The TraNS window will open, and you can enter :
1) Sumo binaries : /usr/local/bin/
2) The TraCI patched executable 'ns' : /usr/local/bin/ns231-traci
... The above is my example.

Link to the TraCI files for ns2 ( ns-2.31 ? ) :

→ TraCI_package_by_CMC.zip ( Maybe it can be added to ns235 ? )
