Simple Distro to play music cd's

Hi, looking for a simple and light Distro to play music cd's on old core 2 duo Laptops. This is for School kids so needs to be setup so the cd autoplays after inserting the cd.

Any distro can do that, and most desktop environments.

I happen to know for a fact that XFCE has volume management built in, you need to tell it to autostart a media player when a CD is inserted.

You can try OpenELEC. It's a lightweight distribution equipped with the Kodi player. Kodi has a simplistic full-screen UI, similar to UIs of DVD players and media centers, and has an autoplay option.

Though, I'm not sure if OpenELEC supports old hardware well. In case of troubles, you can install Kodi atop of other lightweight distribution, like Debian, Lubuntu or PuppyLinux.
