simple command for viewing folder permissions
 

hey could someone tell me what the command is for seeing what permissions you have set for a specific folder. I know how to set permissions I just cant seem to remember how to view permissions already set.

ls -l

that's a small l, same as ls

You may want to add th "-d" option as well to stop ls from descending into the directory.
