Simple Apache2 problem

Hey,
I have this simple problem with one of the pages hosted on my apache2 server (on ubuntu rc 6.06)

All I want to do is make the link www.server.com/test redirect to www.server.com/test.htm

i have tried:
Code:
Alias http://server/chat http://server/chat.htm
in apache2.conf

and when i do in my browser: www.server.com/chat i get:
Code:
<center><iframe src="http://www.chatcreator.com/chatbox/mychat.php?id=xxx" width="500" height="500" scrolling="no"></iframe></center>
(These are the lines in the chat.htm file)

Witouth the above line when i try www.server.com/chat.htm it works, but i what to type www.server.com/chat not www.server.com/chat.htm

I have tried http://apache.org but no luck.
Please help?!

You can do this in the .htaccess file.

O maybe for the first scenario you can have a index.htm with redirection scripts to point to the chat.htm
